This year’s Met Gala theme celebrates the Costume Institute’s “China: Through the Looking Glass” exhibition. Between the dresses, headpieces and cascading trains, there was one look that stood out from the crowd. Dakota Johnson, dressed in a Chanel Haute Couture minidress, highlighting the red-carpets playful side and exemplified just how much fun rejecting the dress code can be.
The Fifty Shades of Grey actress looked great as she modelled both the front and back of her dress. Dakota certainly held her own with this super short mini dress, embroidered in silver and black sequins with a deep heart-shaped neckline.
The best part about a thigh-grazing hemline? No need to change for the after-party.
