When her Vanity Fair cover was released this morning, Caitlyn Jenner did a better job of breaking the internet than Kim Kardashian. Caitlyn Jenner, formerly known as Bruce Jenner, is an American former track and field athlete and current television personality.
Now Caitlyn Jenner is a cover star, photographed in her Malibu home by Annie Leibovitz. Jenner’s transition which has been the subject of intense media interest was explored in an interview with Diane Sawyer and was also documented in a Keeping Up With the Kardashians special, which aired last month.
In an interview with Buzz Bissinger, who wrote Friday Night Lights, Jenner says, “If I was lying on my deathbed and I had kept this secret and never ever did anything about it, I would be lying there saying, ‘You just blew your entire life.’ ”
Caitlyn also launched a Twitter account which has been verified. Her first tweet said: “I’m so happy after such a long struggle to be living my true self. Welcome to the world Caitlyn. Can’t wait for you to get to know her/me.”
