Is Chroming The New Strobing?

First came contouring, then strobing, and now there’s chroming. I know, we can barely keep up.

Dominic Skinner, s senior artist for MAC cosmetics, took to Instagram to show us how to perfect the ‘chroming’ technique. The makeup trendsetter posted the picture to showcase his chroming handy-work.

As you can probably tell, chroming is basically a fancy term for highlighting. But the difference lies in the type of product used. Dominic used lipstick, MAC x Mariah Carey ‘All I Want’ FYI, to add a touch of shimmer to eyelids, brow bones and cheekbones. If you’re thinking you’re going to be chroming with a red lipstick, don’t worry, things aren’t that complicated. It’s all shimmery, neutral tones.

To be fair, this could be a game-changer because it means one product can double up as two, hence more value for money.

Go and grab your shimmery nude lipstick and give the look a try.
