Micellar Oil-Infused Cleansing Water is an easy way to remove even waterproof make-up, and cleanse and nourish the feel of skin, in 1 step without rinsing. Now I am a big fan of Micellar Cleaning Water, although I’ll admit, I didn’t immediately jump on the band wagon hype to try it out.
As we all know micellar cleansers are certainly having a moment right now. They are everywhere you look….this non-rinse cleansing option that is fairly skin friendly, typically affordable and if you are really lucky – effective. The Garnier Micellar Oil-Infused Cleansing Water is suitable for those with dry and sensitive skin which is my skin type in a nutshell, and it claims to remove all makeup including waterproof and longlasting makeup formulas. I’ve never tried an oil based micellar water so I was most intrigued to see how it would compare to a typical micellar water.
I do find, because oil naturally floats on top of water, to benefit from the argan oil in the product, you need to shake and pour the product onto your cotton pad as quickly as possible before it separates.
How To Use:
Simply apply the product to a cotton pad and wipe the face, eyes and lips. No rinsing required.
The bottle claims up to 200 uses. Now, I wear make-up nearly every day so I’m not sure how it will last me this long but a little really does go a long way. I was really surprised at just how easily the makeup is lifted from my face. I use no more than two cotton wool pads, the first to take off the worst of it, and the second just to give my face another once over to lift the remaining dirt and my eyes another wipe. The oil seeps perfectly into your skin to give you that soft feel with no remaining residue left and no need to rinse after use.
My skin instantly feels smooth and revitalized and more importantly there was no irritation towards my skin. Especially my dry patches. Which was what I was most worried about. There was no need to scrub my skin just simply sweeping the pad across my face was enough.
The Garnier Skin Active Micellar Oil Infused Cleansing Water is priced at €8.29. Have you tried it? I’d love to hear your opinions.
