There are a great many issues with sleeping whilst pregnant, and whilst getting up several times a night, and baby’s kicking waking you up are problems that can’t really be solved, getting some much needed support for your bump at night can, as this pillow proves.
I wanted to review this a while ago but wanted to wait until bump was slight bigger probably to see if my opinion on it changed. Looking at all the choices available when it comes to pregnancy pillows, I was really stumped when it came to choosing which one to get – especially when they all seem to advertise the same benefits. You have ones that look like giant sausages, ones that look like boomerangs, and ones that have a number 9 figure.
The DreamGenii Pillow is designed to aid restful sleep during those uncomfortable stages of pregnancy when getting comfortable is a difficult task. So if like me you tend to move around a lot at night then this is of great comfort. (Back sleeping, if you didn’t know, is something you shouldn’t be doing from the middle of your pregnancy). Unlike other pillows, DreamGenii offers gentle support for your tummy, back and knees without taking up most of the bed, allowing you and your partner to get a good nights rest.
Shaped like a ‘7’, you lie on your left side, place the thinner part of the top bar under your waist so the bulky ends support your back and bump, and pull the ‘tail’ round between your legs. It sounds complicated, but isn’t too tricky in practice! This pillow is both supportive and versatile and more importantly has helped me get some rest during pregnancy.
I would highly recommend this pillow to all pregnant women or their husbands if you want to get in their good books. Retailing at €44.99, you can purchase the Dreamgenii Pillow at Inhealth.ie.
