Pyjama Trend

It is official: bed dressing is no longer reserved solely for the bedroom. Now I am not just talking about pyjama shirts by day – an array of silk robes, night gowns, slinky camisoles and pyjama-style silk trousers.

And the best thing about it is the ultimate smart casual aesthetic makes it appropriate for almost every occasion; from brunch to work to parties, and everything in between. At the last round of fashion shows, pyjama combinations flourished, with many an Instagram moment. Ready-to-wear designers who have noticed these sleepwear upstarts on their daywear patch are putting bedtime glamour on their catwalks – the spring/summer 2016 collections are awash with lace-edged nighties, pyjamas and dressing-gown cover.

You could say that all your winter morning prayers have been answered… Pyjamas are in! Here’s how to get the trend looking more luxe than loungewear.
