Skelligs Jewellery

Hello Gang,

Is it just me or does the work seem to pile on the lead up to the Christmas?

Irish design is always something I love to support here at Glam Meets Girl, and when it comes to jewellery, this next designer is definitely a true gem. I recently fell head over heels for Irish Kerry designer Skelligs Jewellery beautiful creations the moment I saw them. My favourite piece in particular: The Open Skelligs Ring.

This ring is an open style with two rocky details at both ends. The rocks are pieces of Valentia slate from the quarry in South West Kerry and cast in solid silver so they are a little lasting momento of the Irish coast that can be worn everyday.

Kerry native Louise is one of Ireland’s best-regarded jewellery designers. Her brand is known for its fine elicate pieces inspired by nature. Skelligs Jewellery was born from her love of Ireland’s awe-inspiring landscape and passion for jewellery making. Using traditional jewellery making skills each piece is created by hand from sterling silver and Irish slate rock sourced from the Valentia Slate quarry Co Kerry. Inspired by the jagged drama of the Skellig Islands Louise aims to combine beautiful materials and elegant designs to create striking jewellery that echoes the jagged drama of our coastal landscape.

Her nature-inspired filigree rings, bracelets, earrings and cuff links have decorated our lives for some time now and while her Seascape Necklace and Skelligs Stacking Rings are constantly top of my wish lists any murmurings of a new collection gets me giddy.  And isn’t that what jewellery should be about? Beautiful pieces, to be worn and enjoyed and remind you of an occasion or just your own general fabulosity. Skelligs Jewellery designs are available to buy online or connect with her on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. Once you’ve discovered Skelligs Jewellery, there’s no going back.

As Always Love,

Glam Meets Girl x
