Happy Friday Everyone,
I hope you’re all having a lovely relaxing day. I have spent the morning walking around the shops in search of a new winter coat. There is so many nice winter bits out at the moment. I had to use all my will power not to buy things as I am trying to cut back after my recent Mulberry purchase and the fact that Christmas is just around the corner doesn’t help either.
I shot this look (very quickly I might add) just before we went for date night. It something we are making a conscious effort to do every week as its so easy to get lost in the mayhem of the wedding, the baby and life in general. So this week we had planned on going to the cinema but we ended up out for some tapas in The Market Bar in Dundalk which is amazing, if you have the chance to go, you need to try the halloumi dish its delicious and afterwards we went ice-skating which is something I haven’t done since we lived in Toronto. It was so much fun and the fact that there were some Christmas songs in the background was an added bonus.
Anyways back to my outfit….I was in a rush as usual and didn’t know what to wear so it was a case of grabbing the first thing that I could put together. However, I am kind of glad as I don’t think I would have put this outfit together if I had a little more time. These culottes are something that I picked up during the summer and never found the chance to wear them so when I paired them with my cosy Primark jumper it was the perfect duo. There is a slight slit on the sides of the legs so my black knee boots helped keep out the cold air. I sometimes forget how much I love styling up looks and putting them together, it’s a nice way of showing my style at that moment in time but also is a little collection of memories for me.
