Hello Hello Hello Everyone,
As I’m sure many brides can relate, I felt like I spent so long planning for our wedding day, and it was over in the blink of an eye! I enjoyed every second of it though, even some of the most stressful times leading up to the actual day. Many of our married friends gave me the advice to soak up every second you can as it will last you a lifetime, and will be here and gone before you know it so I was very conscious of that fact in the run up and even on the big day but I don’t think anything can prepare you for how quickly everything goes by.
Getting ready! I chose Deirdre O’Reilly as my makeup artist for the day. I trialled my makeup before the big day (as most brides do) to make sure it was just what I wanted it to be. I wanted to feel feminine, timeless, and most of all the best version of myself if that makes sense so we went for a very natural look with just a touch of peachy color on the cheeks, a shimmery cheekbone, a slightly smokey eye, worn with big, voluminous lashes, and lastly, a nude lip.
Unlike a lot of brides, I found my dress on my first visit to our very first bridal boutique called The White Rooms in Mullingar. I went in very open minded and was asked to pick three dresses and then three random dresses were picked by the boutique owner which was a great idea in my opinion as you get to try on dresses that you might not necessarily choose or wear. So when I tried on all six dresses it was a process of elimination….I was very sure as to what I didn’t like and I ended up with two incredibly different style dresses which I think I may have retried on about five or six times. However, when I finally put on “my” dress I absolutely fell in love with the design and decided right there and then that it was the dress for me!
My bridesmaids were both my family and best friends from through the years. They looked absolutely gorgeous their dresses and I wouldn’t have been able to make it through the whole process without them.
Adding the finishing touch to my look with these beautiful Jimmy Choo heels.
Although many modern brides and grooms today prefer to see each other before the ceremony, for myself it was absolutely out of the question for Niall to see me or my dress before I walked down the aisle toward him. It was such a beautiful moment walking towards him, and I felt so much calmer than I thought I would.

Just over three weeks ago I married the love of my life and best friend. No words can describe how much love I have for this man and how lucky I feel to have him in my life. I thought it would be the perfect time to share some of my favourite photos from our day. Here’s to a lifetime more of memories and love.
