Power Suit

Good Morning Lovelies,

How are you all keeping this week? Can you believe we are almost at the end of March already? 2018 is just flying by, but I’m very much ready for the rest of this cold weather to go and for Spring to arrive, or summer for that matter! It has been one of those weeks were I just cant seem to get on top of things, I feel like I am one step behind myself the past few days and being sick doesn’t help either. Lately, I have had some stomach issues and they don’t seem to be going anywhere so it was time to alter my diet to try and ween out what exactly is causing all the upset. So all things dairy have been cut, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, garlic all the usual culprits are being evaded to see if I can figure out what seems to be the problem. No joy as of yet so it might be a case of going for a food intolerance test to help get to the bottom of the problem.

If you do like corporate suits, then you gonna love my next blog post. This has to be one of my all time favourite looks this season, women’s suits which have become an integral part of the wardrobe. The power suit has re-emerged during a important cultural moment for women speaking up against sexual harassment and assault with the #MeToo and #TimesUp campaigns. These movements are not only impacting what is designed but how women choose to dress.  After two decades in the darkness, the power suit is back. While women’s suits have been creeping their way into fashion over the past few years what we see now, and what is slowly trickling into our stores, marks the beginning of something decidedly different. The suit is now being used to make a statement for women’s empowerment and by high-profile figures to assert their own power.

I think this is the best way to redefine power and femininity, by sporting one of these stunning creations. How cool is black? I opted for a classic slim-fit pantsuit with the polka dot effect and style it with classy pumps and my beloved beret.

Hope you’re all having a great week,

Glam Meets Girl x
