Good Morning Ladies,
As some of you may have seen at the beginning of the week the Galway Race Festival kickstarted off with the “Frocks to Fillies” event which was held in The Ard Ri House Hotel where all proceeds made on the day with be donated to such an important Charity – Tuam Cancer Care. It was a morning filled with a scrumptious 4 course lunch, style, banter and plenty of treats along with a best dressed ladies competition.
The MC for the day was Caroline Downey from Carried away PR and I was there to judge the Best Dressed Lady Competition and my goodness did I have my work cut out for me. The glamorous afternoon was sponsored by Patrice’s Art of Beauty, who so kindly gave me a little tour of beauty salon that morning before the event and she also so kindly became my glam squad along with Gemini Hair Studio and turned my face and hair into an art of beauty for the event. As you can imagine the style stakes were high among the crowd with several impressive hats on display. However, I had the thought task of choosing five ladies as our finalists with the beautiful Cora Crisham winning out. She looked stunning wearing her bright pink dress was from Joanne Hynes where she walked away with a hamper from Patrice’s Art of Beauty.
It was such a great event to be part of and more importantly it raised some much appreciated awareness and funds for Tuam Cancer Care who continue to provide free and confidential support to people at a time in their lives when support is most needed.
