Off The Shoulder

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Happy Hump Day! How has your week been going? I can believe it is Wednesday already, I feel like I have done a whole weeks work and its only day three. I am absolutely jaded today, the lack of sleep and early starts are beginning to take there toll so it maybe time to start taking some vitamins before I get completely run down. Its all systems go at the moment, we have settled into the house so its all weddings, weddings  weddings now for the next couple of months. I am excited to finally beginning the planning properly and to more importantly enjoy it! I am currently working on bringing all of you on that journey with me…my website is in the process of being updated and I cannot wait to give you the inside scoop.

However in the meantime, here is my one of latest looks. I am not the biggest H&M fan, its a store I always wander into but never come across anything that takes my fancy. But a few weeks ago, I stumbled across this little number in the sale and it the perfect dress for a night on the town! Not to mention that it has pockets, which for me is a huge benefit! Why more dress don’t have them is beyond me. I teamed it with my nude Kurt Geiger’s and voila my outfit was complete. My hair however didn’t exactly go the way I had planned (call it a bad hair day) but I just had to roll with it.

Well that is all for today….I think some caffeine is definitely on the cards. Anything to help get me out of this funk.

Enjoy the rest of your day lovelies!

Wedding Ready

Hello Lovelies,

Happy Saturday to you all! This past weekend, one of our very good friends got married in the fabulous surroundings of Bellingham Castle. The whole day was absolutely fabulous from start to finish!

As you know I have become quiet the online shopping addict and one of my favourite places for a wedding guest looks is Asos. Wedding’s can be quiet a costly business so keeping your outfit costs down is something I think everyone tries to do. So as you can imagine when I scrolled across this dress, it went straight into my shopping cart. I was a little nervous about the quality as you never knew just how good the quality is when buying something online but when the dress arrived I was so suprised to find that it was lined and it was perfect for the occasion at hand! I have finally started to embrace the floral trend with open arms because after all every girl needs one in her summer wardrobe.

I also decided to try a place called Mise Beauty who did my make up – because of the style and colour of the dress, I decided to opt for something a little neutral with my makeup this time around and went for a dark pink lip and low key eye make up. I was so happy with how it turned out.

Well that is it from me today,

Until next time,

White Woolies

Hello Everyone,

Happy Thursday! One more sleep until the weekend arrives and I for one cannot wait….we have a friends wedding tomorrow and its something that I have been looking forward ti for ages. So as you can imagine, I am in the process of getting myself together tonight as I have a little bit of spare time as May is staying with her grandparents tonight.

Now I wanted to show you one of my latest purchases from Zara. Its a little gem that I found in the sale a couple of weeks ago and it is perfect for when the winter months come around and I want to stay warm and cosy but still look stylish at the same time. As you can see, holding out until winter wasn’t an option so I wore it with some white shorts and it was perfect for a chilly summers day.

Now I am off to get my tan sorted as I don’t think my milky white complexion will match my outfit to well. Enjoy the rest of your evening lovelies!

Lots of Love,

Purple Prints

Hello Everyone,

How have you all been? How is it Wednesday already? I cannot keep up with the time this past week….we finally completed the BIG move and we have officially settled into our new home. It took some time and we had some bumps along the way (literally) but we got there in the end and boy am I glad! The unpacking is nearly complete, there are just a few boxes left so the plan is to try get to the bottom of them before the week is out. Its probably not going to happen but here is hoping! Its fair to say it has been one of the busiest, hectic and stressful weeks of my life….but nothing can compare to closing your front door and enjoying your own home comforts. It really is the little things in life.

So as you can gather we are still awaiting on some final details to be completed….our internet being one of them. Hence the reason I have been a lot quieter than normal on social media but they are coming to sort it out tomorrow so I will be back on track (finally). In the meantime, I wanted to show you my latest outfit….its a very laid back, casual look as that is how I am feeling at the moment! I spotted this Kimono a while ago when I was in River Island and instantly fell in love with the pattern and colours. It is ideal for summer and has the ability to dress up any outfit including these navy shorts and white cami top. You might remember I wore a dress with the same print a few months ago?! Its quick and easy but gives the illusion that you have put loads of effort into your ensemble.

Well that is it for now…back to the world of unpacking. Talk Soon!

Dress To Impress

Hello Lovelies,

I’m finally getting around to sharing this outfit with you that I received from Cari’s Closet. Wedding season is well and truly underway so when I saw that Cari’s Closet had this dress, I knew it was fate.  I have had a couple different dresses from there and every one is simply impeccable! I don’t usually do this style of dress to often which I have no idea why not but I adored this one. It felt so girly and glam on and lets be honest who doesn’t want to feel that way every once in a while!? It also has this beautiful floral print that you can never have too much of, as some of you might know that it can be pretty tough to find that perfect print and I loved this one the second I laid eyes on it.

Cari’s Closet is the perfect place to get a dress like this because it’s the most amazing quality for an even better price. They are all about providing you fantastic options of high-quality pieces that you can wear for any occasion. I hope you can see the details in this dress in some of the close up pictures because they are gorgeous. Whether you have a party, wedding, or a special occasion coming up this summer, Cari’s Closet pieces are perfect for you.

As Always Love,

Back On Track

Hey Gang,

As I am writing this, I am currently hiding inside my in-laws conservatory as I am supposed to be packing for the big move but instead I am doing everything but that. But thankfully, this day next week I will be completely finished and hopefully all moved in so it’ll be all worth while. You may have noticed from some of my social media posts as of late that life has become a little hectic and there is a lot going on right now and it can be a little overwhelming at times but it is times like this that I need to take a step back, reflect and take it all in and be grateful for all the wonderful things that are happening this year. Its crazy to think we will have had a baby, moved into our first house and got married all in the space of twelve months! Busy doesn’t really cover it but come the beginning of next week once we complete the move it will be all systems go on the wedding. I have been putting off all the decision making as its impossible to do all these things at once so in the next couple of weeks the plan is to get things back on track!

Now enough of my rambling and onto my latest outfit! I shot this look on Sunday with Caroline from Wild Things Wed, we were under a bit of a deadline to get this particular shot done but the outfits really came together well and she always has a way of taking the perfect picture. Needless to say this outfit was no exception! I have had this dress for the some time now and kept putting it off as I am not the biggest fan of tight dresses at the minute as I am not back to my pre-baby body just yet but I decided to bit the bullet and out it on anyways and i am glad I did. The great thing about this dress apart from the colour is the style and cut, it was great for clinging to the right areas and even better at not sticking to the wrong ones.

Well that is it for me today, I better show my face before a search party is sent to find me.

Love,

Summer Lovin

Hello Lovelies,

It’s Tuesday and there is a long weekend in the distance so here is hoping that this week does drag out to much.

So, today’s post features one of those outfits that I feel is perfect for summer. It’s the perfect floral print that transitions amazing from season to season and I can’t wait to wear it over and over. It is quiet a simple dress, but the little floral details make it beautiful in it’s simplicity. It is safe to day that details in a piece can make all the difference. Who else loves the details in what they wear?

The mission today is to get some more house work done! Will it ever come to an end!

Pretty Florals

Hello Everyone,

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Did you get up to anything nice? How does the time always manage to go that bit quicker when its Saturday and Sunday! I can never understand it…..it was a busy weekend for us (again) the joys of moving house but the end is in sight thank goodness. Its amazing how much goes into moving into a new home, I think it is fair to say that I definitely under estimated just how much stuff we own. The plan was to do a big clear out but there really isn’t that much to part with so it looks as though we will be living out of boxes for the next little while.

Now enough of house moving and onto my latest outfit post! I nearly forgot to show you this look that I shot with Caroline from Wild Things Wed a couple of weeks ago and I absolutely love this look. How fab is this dress? I think it looks so much more expensive that it actually was! Not to forget, my new favourite accessory from Taylor & Rose, I cant get enough of Ciara’s hair pieces there ideal for dressing up any outfit especially if you are on the search for something a little different to add to your outfit. I have worn this Estee Gold Leaf Hair Clip about 10 times already as it goes with just about everything. There is a huge selection of head bands, hair clips, hair vines and hair pins so plenty of choices to choose from.

Now I am off as I have loads to do today! Have a fab day gals and I will be sure to update you all tomorrow on the moving madness!

Stripe It Blue

Good Morning Lovelies,

How are you all doing today? The weather is a little bit on the miserable side, the rain is back (again)….not exactly ideal when you’re wearing shorts and sandals but what can you do! In typical fashion I forgot to bring an umbrella so here is hoping I don’t get caught in it as I have an event tonight with BPerfect which is very exciting so if you are interested in seeing a little sneak peek behind the scenes, you can follow me on Instagram (Glam Meets Girl) as I will be sure to keep you all updated.

This post reminds me a little bit of those outfits you would see in the movies of nurses on call, not exactly the vibe I was going for but I am going to roll with it. I have so many dresses that are still sitting in my wardrobe (unworn) so the goal is to get through as many of them as possible before the big move. That way I can bring them with me, Niall and I made a pact not to bring any excess anything to the new house as we want to be clutter free but it is a little more challenging than I had anticipated! I never counted myself a hoarder as such but it appears that I do like to hold onto one or two things that could perhaps be discarded. But back to todays ensemble, the dress was super cheap, I think it was €12.00 which is probably the reason why it came home with me. It is perfect for those hot summer days or nights as its nice, light and airy. My wedges are from Michael Kors, these are a wardrobe staple that everyone needs, unfortunately they havent got a whole lot of wear this summer but there is still time a little time left for an outing or two.

Well I must dash and brave the elements out there but I will talk to you all soon.

Love,

Floral Arrangement

Hello Gang,

Happy Wednesday! The weekend is just about in sight and I am really looking forward to spending some time with my family and friends! What do all of you have planned for the weekend?

So, I posted a peek of this look a little while ago on IG, but wanted to talk more in detail about it because it was a look that I absolutely loved. As you might already know Zara is a brand that I have been wearing for a quiet some time now, and is one that I absolutely love. They always have a huge selection and variety and I know that once I start browsing whether it be in the store or online, I am not going to leave empty handed. This floral skirt is of course no exception, I adore that I can dress it up with a pair of heels or dress it down with a pair of flats, just like I have here. It is such a simple skirt, but the floral prints make it beautiful in it’s simplicity.

I hope you all have a wonderful day and thank you so much for dropping by.

As Always Love,

Glam Meets Girl x
