Pink Flutters

Hello Everyone,

Can you believe it’s almost July already? Where has the last year gone to? I feel like this has been the fastest year of my life!!! This week is going to be another busy one but I am determined to ‘get my life in order’ and try get a routine established as it feels like we have been just living week to week lately and we need to get more a little more structure going as things have been so mental its impossible to form a schedule at the minute but here is hoping  I will get things under hand this week.

Now onto todays latest look, here I’m practically wearing River Island everything. If you’ve been following me for a while you’ll know I’m a fan of statement pieces, and this little suit is so cute and girlie and it ticked all the boxes! I found it in the River Island Sale and I actually think there are some more available but Im not to sure what sizes are in stock. My shoes are also River Island, I have seen so many people wearing them lately so I decided to pick up a few different style so stay tuned as they will be featured in my coming posts.

Anyway, I really have nothing more insightful to add so I’m gonna cut this blog post short but enjoy the rest of your Monday!

Love,

Lady In Red

Hello Gang,

Happy Sunday! How has everyones weekend been? I hope you had something nice planned over the passed few days. The weather wasn’t quiet as nice as last weekend but hey at least it didn’t rain which is always a bonus! I am still recovering from the wedding that we attended on Thursday, the joys of getting old…I just can’t party like I once could but it was worth it! We had such a great time catching up with all our friends and enjoying the day that was in it, the wedding was in Rathsallagh House Hotel and it is an absolutely beautiful venue to host a wedding. If you haven’t had the pleasure of being there before I would highly recommend it, we were blown away by the grounds and the actual house itself, it is just so so pretty.

I wanted to show you the outfit that I wore to the wedding. Now there was a little bit of drama with the dress, the zip must of been faulty as when I went to put it on the zip refused to go up (panic station) so I had to get my mom involved and after about 15 minutes we finally got it to go up so word to the wise always try on your outfit before you intend on wearing it! However, apart from that I loved the colour, style and shape of the dress and of course the high slit that accompanied it. This dress is from a website called Missguided which is one I have come to love recently especially if you are on the look out for something a little different.

Well that is all from me today but I will be back during the week with some more updates.

As Always Love,

Glam Meets Girl x

Basic Black

Hello Everyone,

Happy Hump Day! Boy am I tired today, its been such a busy week going back to work and getting back into a routine…my head doesn’t even have to hit the pillow these nights and I am out like a light! My brain is on over drive at the minute trying to get out of mommy mode and back into work mode, who knew juggling both would be such a challenge but hopefully it will all balance out in the coming weeks.

Now I know the sun is shining and everyone is out in all kinds of bright colours but for the week that is in it, I decided to play it safe and stick to all back for my latest look. This skirt was something I had my eye on in H&M for the past while, its so cute and girlie and is the perfect staple piece for any season, I know it will be a piece that will be worn over and over again. Keeping it simple, I matched it with this little sheer blouse and these ballerina inspired espadrilles that are from Primark and my trustworthy Gucci bag and boom outfit complete. It probably took all of five minutes to put this together but sometimes those no fuss outfits are just what you need.

I hope you like the outfit and thanks for popping by! I must get myself together now as we have a friends wedding tomorrow and like usually everything has been left to the last minute so I have to go and try find a dress. Wish me luck!

Stripes

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are enjoying this glorious weather and taking in all the sunshine! What a weekend for it to arrive…its amazing what a bit of sunshine can do! Ireland is truly an beautiful country when the sun shines. We had such a lovely weekend with May and Niall also had his first Father’s Day so lots of memories made. Its so funny but Father’s Day takes on a whole new role when you have a little one yourself. I think you appreciate what your parents actually went through all those years ago.

Now I am getting off track, I wanted to show you my latest look! This was a little casual outfit that I wore on Saturday….I cannot tell you how happy I am to take my shorts out and get to wear them. We were on the go a lot this weekend hence my casual look but this top is great its so light and flow especially with the intense heat that you can manoeuvre without feeling hot and bothered.

Well I must dash but I will be back soon with some mote updates! Enjoy the rest of the sunshine.

Love,

Blocked Out

Hello Lovelies,

Happy Saturday! This is one of my favourite days of the week, we have lots planned for today so I am excited to enjoy what the weekend has in store. The weather is supposed to be incredible for the next couple of days so I plan on spending as much time in the sunshine as possible. This is my last weekend before going back to work on Monday so its a little bitter sweet.

Now onto my latest look, I must say I was really excited to shoot this outfit! I found this dress on Boohoo last week, at first sight I wasn’t over gone on it but once I put it on, it is great for day to day chores and running errands. Matched with my favourite shoes from Primark that you all have probably seen one to many times and boom my outfit was ready to go. After all a day of running around Dublin called for comfortable footwear.

I hope you guys enjoy the look!

Until next time,

Glam Meets Girl x

Purple Days

Hello Lovelies,

Summer is finally here which means one thing in my fashion world, bring on the floral print dresses. If you are anything like me I can never shy away from wearing dresses whether their is still a chill in the air or the sun is shining. This dress is one of my dream finds on the high street at the moment thanks to River Island. It has such pretty girlie floral detailing that I couldn’t pass it by and not bring it home! I have always been a fan of a midi dress. They are a great day to night investment, team with heels for a stand out evening look or with strappy flat sandals for a boho feel and voila your outfit is ready for any occasion. I always find that purple is a one of those colours that can make an easy transition from spring to summer so you can wear it throughout seasons. Not to mention it is also great at showing of a sun kissed tan.

Now we have plans to go to the Taste of Dublin this afternoon and I am really excited to go as I have never been before and have heard such great things about it so I will keep you posted on how it goes. Enjoy your Friday evening and I will be back to check in with you over the weekend.

As Always Love,

Rustic Tones

Hello Everyone,

Hope you’re all having a great week so far and if you’re not, at least it’s Friday tomorrow. The sun has finally graced us with its presence and apparently it is here to stay for the weekend so I’m all excited that I can whip out my summer wardrobe. I started my summer shopping ages ago but haven’t had the opportunity to wear any of it yet so it is time to take it out and show if off!

Another day, another outfit post for you all. This little dress is from Missguided and to be honest, when I seen it on the website it wasn’t as nice on screen as it is in real life.  It’s probably not a colour I would usually choose but I have to say I love it! It’s so striking and summery! But would be great come Autumn aswell as the rustic tones are ideal for that time of year. It’s the perfect colour to match with my new shoes that I picked up in Zara, they look comfy but to be honest the material is a little tough so there not the most comfortable shoes to wear but I am going to try wear them in.

Hope you all have a good week.

Chat Soon,

Glam Meets Girl x

Orange Feels

Hello Everyone,

Hope you’re all having a great week. It’s been a busy one so far but we are half way there which means the weekend is in sight!

I wanted to share this look with you before I head out for the day…I am off to get my hair done as it is long over due and there is so much happening in the next two weeks that I need to get it done asap! I’ve really fallen in love with this orange top/dress and find myself trying to style it with so many different outfits. This is another Zara number and the colour just screams summer time, when I picked it up I didn’t realise that there are slits on each side so I wore a nice pair of white shorts underneath but they can only be seen if your doing a lot of movement! I adore a dress with a nice slit in it. There are my new favourite little detail in dresses this season and you’ll definitely see me wearing them a lot more in the coming weeks.

Well I must dash but I will check in with you all before the weekend!

Love,

Glam Meets Girl x

Royal Blue

Hello Lovelies,

Happy Wednesday and I hope that you’re having a wonderful day so far. Today’s post features an outfit that I absolutely adore. As you probably already know I love wearing shades of blue, and this royal blue is perfect for this season. It’s one of my fav new pieces that I picked up in Primark at the weekend and is one of those summer outfits that can be dressed up or dressed down. The fit is spot on and it is the perfect mix of classic and fun. Pair it with some shades and lace-ups and you are ready to go! This tropical print fits in so well with summer and hopefully wearing it will keep the sunshine here forever haha (wishful thinking)!

Thanks for popping by!

Love,

Pranamat – Tried & Tested

Hello Lovelies,

Recently, I was introduced to the Pranamat and Pranapillow, a self-healing tool that helps to relax and revitalise the body and mind. Initially I was attracted to the colours and 100% natural and eco-friendly materials, but on hearing the health benefits all I wanted to do was road test one.

So What Exactly Is A Pranamat ECO?

Pranamat ECO is a revitalising massage mat. Regular usage of the Pranamat ECO will help you to find its other advantages: sleep normalisation, general relaxation, stress reduction and gradual disappearance of its effects, lack of physical activity compensation, vitality, health and immunity increase, metabolism stimulation and weight normalisation, elasticity and skin tone improvement.

IMG_6187.JPG

My mat arrived beautifully packaged in this box. I’ve since used the box to transport the mat with me when I go away back home to Carlow or Dundalk at the weekends . Yes, I’m enjoying the benefits that much! I’ve found it good to use the mat for just 20-30 minutes throughout the day, during an afternoon slump or if I’m finding it hard to get started in the morning. After laying on my Pranamat for 30 minutes I sincerely noticed the relaxation effect it had on my body and mind, similar to a meditation session. For 6 weeks I used the pranamat religiously to help make the transition from ‘working day’ to ‘relaxed evening’ and it certainly helped.

IMG_6789

The mat is like a bed of nails, but in the form of pretty lotus flowers. It’s quiet sharp, like very sharp. At first I couldn’t stand or lay on it with bare skin as it was quite uncomfortable. So the first few times I used the mat I always wore socks or pyjamas. However, I have now become so used to it that I stand on it for long periods of time with no socks and I can lay on it with ease each evening.

The first time that I used my Pranamat ECO, I laid it down on the couch and I put a pillow under my head, as soon as I laid on it I was happy I was wearing a T-Shirt as the lotus flowers are very prickly and the skin to mat contact was a little too much the first time (I would highly recommend wearing at least a light t-shirt the first time you use it) but don’t worry you get used to it incredibly quickly! I can easily now lay on it with my bare skin and fall asleep! I suffer from a lot of tension pain in my neck and upper shoulders as well as tension headaches and let me tell you the Pranamat has been amazing!

IMG_6792

I’ve been looking forward to sharing my review of the Pranamat Eco ever since I first tried it. It’s now been a couple of weeks since I started using the mat and it’s become a daily habit. I really notice the difference when I haven’t used it, especially when it comes to falling asleep at night.

It’s made of 100% natural materials, such as linen, organic non-dyed cotton and coconut fibre. The petals are made from hypoallergenic plastic that is medically tested. It is a very natural product. Now it is €110.00 for the Pranamat and €80.00 for the PranaPillow and you can choose a variety of colours. Pranamat recognises that colour can also have a positive effect on you mentally and emotionally so there are several options to choose from. Oh and better again, each mat comes with a 30 day money back guarantee so you can make sure you love it and if not just send it back!

So there you have it – my latest review! I hope this gives you an insight into the Pranamat but if you have any questions, please more feel free to comment below or drop me a PM.

Love,
